Margarita Barnas – Liquid
28/10/2023 (Private view) – 28/11/2023
Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
Margarita Barnas is an artist of Polish origin residing in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Barnas diminishes the concept of difference between art and craftsmanship in her works, subverting the hierarchies between high and low culture, as she does in her daily work as a nurse.
Margarita defends art as a therapeutic and self-care refuge for everyone who practices it, and prescribes it whenever she can. She emphasises that unlike in medicine, anyone can self-prescribe a cure in a form of creativity and artistic self-expression.
On 28 October 2023, at VivaQi Gallery pop-up space, in her first solo exhibition, she presents her collection of abstracts, mainly but not exclusively, in fluid acrylic paint technique on canvas, boards and 3D objects.
She previously also experimented with collage, decoupage, scrap and artistic binding.
Her works are full of movement, harmonious colour combinations and intriguing patterns that lend themselves perfectly for display in interiors as originals, art prints and variety of printed products.
Simon Wieland – Sacred Geometry & Sound
Dates to be confirmed , Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
Simon Wieland is a Polish-born multidisciplinary artist based between Poland, London/UK and Canary Islands.
He has established himself with his distinctive perspective and style through his artistic journey since he became deeply interested in esoteric and ancient knowledge.. in particular the correlation of power of sound, human awareness and sacred geometry.
These topics served as the inspiration for his particular style incorporating the use of shapes and proportions taken from sacred geometry.
All of Simon’s artworks are hand-drawn, typically on dark backgrounds using metallic inks. This colour combination produces a special contrast and depth that is utterly captivating and lends itself to meditative states.
He keeps experimenting and developing his art, moving beyond drawings to murals, video animations and Cymatics installations.
Simon has developed a reputation as an enthusiastic artist who consistently pushes limits and investigates novel concepts thanks to his many passions.
His distinctive style and viewpoint continue to inspire others. His work can be found in private collections and has been displayed in a number of galleries throughout the world.
Private view of Simon’s artwork on paper and board will include a demonstration of Cymatics ( visible effects of sound & vibration).
